Don 2, which was released in 3,105 theatres across the country, opened to huge response at multiplexes all over India on Dec 23, 2011. The movie surpassed Rs 100 crore mark in 16 days. It collected Rs 76.51 crores in the first week and its breakup was Rs 15.3 cr on Fri, Rs 15.09 cr on Sat, Rs 18 cr on Sun, Rs 8.85 cr on Mon, Rs 7.08 cr on Tue, Rs 5.49 cr on Wed, Rs 5 cr on Thu. The movie collected approximately Rs 24.5 crore in the next 9 days. It has taken 16 days to join the elite club.
